POP Mailbox(es) allows you to request that new POP mailboxes be created in association with your account or domain. POP mailboxes are accounts that can only be used to receive mail, which is then accessed through a POP client program (Eudora, Pegasus, etc). Mailboxes do not have the ability to do any type of forwarding or autoresponding. The name of any mailbox must be 2 to 8 alphanumeric characters. A full name - the user's real name - must also be supplied.
IMPORTANT: if you currently have a virtual domain name with your account, then you are already able to accept mail addressed to anything@yourdomain.com. The only reason that you should need to sign-up extra POP mailboxes is if you need to have a separate login and password to specificname@yourdomain.com. Otherwise, you should take a look at the support section for information on how to make effective use of your mail configuration. By signing up for POP mailboxes, you affirm that you take full responsibility for the actions of any user accessing these mailboxes, and that the users who do so are members of your organization or are otherwise responsible to you.
The maximum amount of mail that any mailbox can hold is 1 megabyte. This is necessary to protect the mail system. |
